Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and Abundance Institute, which runs ibelieve.ai. Using the site means you accept them. If you do not, you are welcome to read the public files and leave.

What this is

A place to write a belief file — a plain document stating what you hold to be true — keep its history, and publish it if you want to. The service is provided as it is today; features may change.

Your account

• You must be at least 13 years old.
• Give an email address you can actually receive mail at; we require you to confirm it before your first sign-in.
• Keep your password to yourself. Anything done through your account is treated as done by you.
• One account per person. Do not impersonate anyone, and do not claim to speak for an organization you have no authority over.

Your content stays yours

You keep every right you have in what you write. To run the service, you give us permission to store, copy, and display your content — no more than hosting requires, and only for as long as you keep it here. We do not use your files to train models, and we do not sell them.

When you mark a file public, you also allow anyone using ibelieve.ai to read it, download it, and fork it into their own copy, which they may then change. That is the point of publishing here, and it cannot be undone for copies already made. Keep a file private if that is not what you want.

What you may not do

• Post content that is unlawful, that infringes someone else’s rights, or that exists to harass, threaten, or incite violence against people.
• Impersonate a person or organization, or misrepresent a file as theirs.
• Attack the service: break authentication, reach for other people’s private files, or work around rate limits.
• Use the public API beyond its published limits, or scrape the site in ways those limits are meant to prevent.

Disagreeing with a belief is not grounds for removal. This is a place where people state what they believe, and those beliefs will contradict each other. Conduct is what we moderate, not doctrine.

Handles and organizations

Usernames and organization handles share one namespace, first come first served. We may reclaim a handle used to impersonate someone, or transfer one to the organization it plainly names, through the claim process on the site.

AI-generated answers

Belief tests are produced by an AI model. The answers are illustrative — a way to see what your file changes — not advice, not a verdict on your beliefs, and not guaranteed to be accurate or repeatable. Judge them accordingly.

Ending things

You can stop using the service whenever you like, and ask us to delete your account by writing to team@abundance.institute. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms; where it is reasonable to do so, we will explain why first and give you a chance to put it right.

No warranty

The service is provided “as is”. We do our best to keep it running and your files safe, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose — every file can be downloaded as markdown.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Abundance Institute is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the service, and our total liability is limited to the greater of what you have paid us (currently nothing) or US$100. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Changes

We may update these terms; the date at the top says when we last did. For material changes we will give notice on the site. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new version.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
